Who We Are
The Fortuna Downtown Business Association is a subgroup of the
Fortuna Business Improvement District (FBID). Downtown businesses are
part of an FBID “core” area. As a core area, downtown Fortuna receives a
portion of their assessment and city matching funds back for their own
marketing purposes. The Fortuna Downtown Business Association forms its
own committees and officers that work to improve the downtown area.
Along with the many events listed on this website, the Fortuna Downtown
Business Association has worked on projects, in conjunction with the
city, to beautify the area. Recent projects include banners that depict
historical pictures of Fortuna, flower baskets to hang from the lamp
posts, and an ongoing effort to install recycle bins downtown.
The Fortuna Downtown Business Association meets regularly on the fourth
Wednesday of every month.
